An Affiliate Manager is responsible for supporting the management and organization of the promotion of one or more products on Hotmart. They act as a point of contact between the creator and affiliates, helping guide strategy, promotion rules, and communication with the affiliate network.
In this article, you'll learn about the main responsibilities of an Affiliate Manager and how to configure this role on the platform so they can receive commissions from sales generated by the affiliates they manage.
What does an Affiliate Manager do?
An Affiliate Manager's responsibilities may vary depending on the creator's strategy. In general, this professional helps organize promotional activities, guides affiliates on the product’s positioning and identity, and monitors opportunities to improve sales performance.
It is also common for the Affiliate Manager to participate in defining promotion guidelines, planning campaigns, and establishing best practices for affiliates. To do so, they should have a strong understanding of the market, the product, and the target audience reached by the campaigns.
Each Affiliate Manager can oversee a specific group of affiliates and receive a commission on the sales generated by them, according to the rules configured by the creator.
Do I need to register the Affiliate Manager as a cocreator?
Yes. If you want the Affiliate Manager to automatically receive commissions from sales generated by the affiliates they manage, you must configure them as a cocreator of the product.
The cocreation model allows you to define the commission percentage, contract duration, and which sales will generate commissions for the Affiliate Manager. The most common setup is to grant commissions only on sales generated by affiliates under their management.
