What is Hotmart and what role does it play in my purchase?

Hotmart is the platform that connects you with the creator responsible for the product you purchased. Through Hotmart, your payment is processed, and you can check your purchase information and access the product when it is available on the platform.

The product is created and offered by the creator, who defines the terms of the offer and is responsible for the content or service you purchased.

In this article, you will learn how a purchase through Hotmart works, when you can rely on the platform, and when you should contact the creator directly.

What is Hotmart?

Hotmart is a platform used by individuals and companies to sell and deliver products online. You can find online courses, e-books, subscriptions, events, and services, among other formats.

The following people may be involved in this process:

• Buyer: you, the person who purchased the product.
• Creator: the person or company that creates and sells the product.
• Affiliate: a person who may promote the product and receive a commission from the sale.

Not every purchase involves an affiliate. When an affiliate takes part in promoting the product, the creator remains responsible for the product and the terms presented in the offer.

How does a purchase through Hotmart work?

Creators use Hotmart to register their products and make them available for sale. When you make a purchase, Hotmart is involved in steps such as processing the payment, recording the transaction, and, in many cases, granting access to the product.

That is why you may see the Hotmart name:

• On the page where you made the payment.
• In the purchase confirmation email.
• On your card statement or payment receipt.
• In the area used to access a digital product.

This does not mean that the product was created by Hotmart. The content, features, and terms of the offer are defined by the creator.

When can I rely on Hotmart?

Hotmart can help you check and manage different stages of your purchase. Through the platform, you can review your order details, check the payment status, and access the product when it is available in a Hotmart area.

You can also rely on Hotmart to locate a purchase, access the My purchases area, recover access to your account, check payment information, and request or track a refund.

When your question is related to the content, the terms of the offer, or how the product works, you should contact the creator.

How do I know who to contact if I have a question?

You can contact Hotmart when you need help with matters related to the platform, your account, locating a purchase, payment, or the processes available in the My purchases area.

The creator is the best point of contact for questions about:

• The course or product content.
• Classes, materials, and schedules.
• Certificates.
• How the purchased service works.
• Information presented in the offer.
• Bonuses or additional materials.

The creator’s contact information may be available in the confirmation email, in the product access area, or in the purchase details. To learn how to contact them, see this article.
