How to enable automatic translation and subtitles in my videos?

In addition to being able to organize your course classes into modules, upload files in different formats, provide a certificate of completion, and increase interaction with your audience through comments, Hotmart, aiming to make products more accessible, also offers the possibility to include subtitles in your classes. 

Hotmart is an international company that carries out transactions all over the world. By adding subtitles to your course videos, you will not only be democratizing learning among students of different nationalities and increasing the reach of your product, but also making learning accessible for students with hearing impairments. 

There are several supported languages for subtitle upload, and you can add as many subtitle languages as you want to your videos! 

❯ To add subtitles to videos in the Members Area, follow the steps below:

1. Log into your Hotmart account at: https://app.hotmart.com/login
2. In the side menu, choose Products;
3. Select Hotmart Club;
4. In the left side menu, click on Products;
5. Select the desired product;
6. If you want to add the content in a new module, click on Add Module;
7. If you want to create content in an existing module, click on the + symbol and choose Class;
8. Enter the page name and choose the media;
9. After adding the media, the Subtitle Configuration option will open. You have two configuration options. 

• Generate automatic subtitles: set the original language of your video and click on Generate Subtitles.
• Upload subtitles: click on upload subtitles to upload a file in .srt or .vtt format containing the transcription of the video in the language that will be available to students. 

10. After completing the subtitle configuration, click on Translate and choose up to 3 languages to make translations available to students. 

IMPORTANT!

• We recommend reviewing the subtitle(s) to make sure everything is correct. To do this, click on Review. In the Subtitle Editor field, you can select the segment that needs to be adjusted on the video timeline and manually edit it.
• Another option available besides reviewing is downloading the generated subtitles, which allows you to make specific edits to the generated text. To download the subtitles, still on the subtitle configuration screen, click on Download subtitles. The file will open with the correct timing for each line, since we already synchronize the speech with the subtitles.

So, just be careful when making changes so that the speech does not get out of sync. Let’s suppose the subtitle is “How to create ad copy for launches”. If you want to change it to “How to create an amazing ad copy for digital launches”, be aware that you are increasing the content and it may get out of sync with the video. 

After completing the changes, save the file and in the subtitle settings, upload it by clicking on the option Upload subtitles.
