If you have already created an online course, subscription, or online event in Hotmart Club and want to reuse part of that content in another product, you can import content between different products within your members area.
This feature allows you to copy entire modules, specific pages, and media already used in one product to another, saving time when creating new courses and ensuring consistency in the material provided.
In this article, we’ll explain how content importing works, who can use this feature, and the important rules you need to know.
How to import content between products?
❯ To import content from one product to another, follow these steps:
-
Log in to your account: https://app.hotmart.com.
-
In the left-side menu, click Products and select Members area.
- Choose the members area where the product is registered.
-
In the left-side menu, click Products and select the desired product.
-
In the Content tab, click the Import content button in the upper-right corner of the screen.
-
Select the source product (the one containing the content you want to import). The list will show all products linked to your account, even if they are not added to your members area.
-
Choose the modules and/or pages you want to import. You can import quizzes, main or additional modules, and pages. However, ads and live sessions cannot be imported.
- Confirm the import. Each import allows you to copy up to 50 modules, with a maximum of 200 pages per module. If you exceed this limit, a notification will prompt you to adjust your selection.
- Monitor the import through a real-time feedback modal. This modal can be closed once the process is complete.
After the import, you can reorganize, rename, and configure content release and expiration settings if needed. For more details, check out this article.
Frequently Asked Questions
❯ What happens if I edit imported content?
Imported pages are not linked to the original product. This means that any changes made in one product will not be reflected in the other. If you need to update the content, edits must be made separately in each product.
|
❯ What happens to student groups when importing content?
Imported content will always be linked to a default student group. If you need to assign it to additional groups, you must do so manually in the Groups tab in Hotmart Club.
|
❯ Can I import Learning Tracks?
Yes, but Learning Tracks must be created before importing modules and pages. Once they are set up in the new product, you can import content and associate it with the corresponding tracks.
|
❯ What happens if I use Hotmart Player in the source product?
For media files to display correctly in the destination product, Hotmart Player must also be activated in that product.
|
❯ What happens if the original content is deleted?
If content is deleted in the source product, the imported content will remain unchanged. However, if a video hosted on Hotmart Player is removed from the Player's library, it will be removed from all lessons where it was used.
|
❯ What happens if I change the thumbnail of a video in Hotmart Player?
If an imported video is hosted on Hotmart Player and its thumbnail is changed, the new thumbnail will be updated across all lessons using that video, even in different products.
|
❯ Are content drip and expiration settings copied when importing content?
No. Content drip and expiration settings are not transferred to the new product. You can set them manually after the import.
|
❯ Can I duplicate content within the same product?
