Hotmart Tutor is a smart tool designed to enhance your students' learning experience by allowing them to ask questions directly within courses hosted on Hotmart Club. With quick and accurate responses at any time of the day, the Tutor makes the learning process more dynamic and accessible.
To use Hotmart Tutor, make sure your courses meet the following requirements:
- They must be hosted in the Hotmart Club Members Area.
- The videos must have English, Spanish or Portuguese audio and use the Hotmart Player.
- Subtitles must be enabled in English, Spanish or Portuguese in all videos.
❯ To set up the Tutor in your course, follow the steps below:
- Log in to your Hotmart account via https://app.hotmart.com.
- In the left-side menu, click on Products and select Members Area.
- Choose the members area you want to configure and click to access it.
- In the left-side menu, go to Settings.

- Find the Tutor option and click Edit to set it up.
- A list of eligible courses will appear. You can activate or deactivate the Tutor at any time.
When activated, the Tutor will learn the course content, which can take up to 24 hours. Even after activation, if you add new videos to your course, the Tutor will continue learning from them to stay ready to assist your students.
Once the Tutor is prepared, your students can access it directly from the video pages using the option Get more information about this content from our smart assistant. By clicking on Ask now, the Tutor will appear on the right side of the screen, ready to help.
❯ Customization and additional content
If you want to customize the Tutor, you can change the default name "Tutor" to another name of your choice, up to 16 characters. This name will be consistent across all Hotmart Club courses where the Tutor is active.
You can also add extra content to help the Tutor learn more about your course. For instance, you can upload a .txt file with a list of frequently asked questions and their answers. To do this, use the Add additional content option on the Tutor setup screen. The file can be up to 50 MB.
If you need to remove any extra content, simply click on the trash icon next to the file you want to delete, and it will be removed from the Tutor’s knowledge base.
How to track student interactions and insights generated from using the Tutor?
Through the Insights tab, you can access the interactions between your students and the classroom's intelligent agent—that is, the questions asked and the answers provided by the Tutor. You can review the conversation history by course and time period, and also export the data for more detailed analysis.
Additionally, if your product has reached a minimum number of questions and student interactions with the Tutor, a section will appear with valuable insights into content that can help engage your audience. These include the most frequently asked questions and suggested approaches based on different student profiles.
❯ To access the Tutor Insights, follow these steps:
- Log into your Hotmart account at: https://app.hotmart.com
- In the left-hand menu, click on Products, then Members Area
- Select the desired members area
- In the left-hand menu, click on Insights:
- If any of your products have insights available, a section will appear at the top of the page allowing you to explore in more detail the suggestions based on student questions.
- In the Tutor tab, you'll see a list of products and students who interacted with the Tutor during the selected time frame. If you want to download the questions and answers, click the Export all button.
❯ How can I improve the Tutor’s responses?
If you’d like the Tutor’s answers to be more accurate, you can add content, such as a file containing frequently asked questions and their expected answers. Just follow the steps in the Customization and extra content section of this article.
By reviewing the Insights and the interactions with the Tutor, you can identify the topics that generate more questions among your students. With that information, you can train the Tutor using extra materials to ensure more complete support, enhance your course with new content, or even create new products.
