What should I know before migrating?
Before starting, here are some important things to keep in mind:
- This migration is recommended for those who already sell products through Hotmart but use an external members area to deliver content.
- If your product is hosted in the older version of Hotmart Club and you want to transfer it to the current version, check out this article with specific instructions for that situation.
- You can set up and test Hotmart Club without affecting current students' access. This ensures a smooth transition with no impact on your sales.
How to migrate my product to Hotmart Club?
To start the migration process from an external members area to Hotmart Club, just follow these steps:
- Log into your account at: https://app.hotmart.com.
- In the left-hand menu, click Products and then My products.
- Click on the product you want to migrate to Hotmart Club.
- In the product dashboard side menu, click Course management and then Migrate to Club.
- Next, you’ll have two options:
- If you already have a Hotmart Club, select the desired members area and click Add to Club.
- If you don’t have a Hotmart Club yet, you can create one by following the steps in this article.
After adding your product to Hotmart Club, your external members area will still be the default for your students. This means you can test Hotmart Club without changing the experience for your current students. During this period, you can:
- Add content and test the class organization.
- Customize your Hotmart Club to reflect your brand.
- Import a few students to monitor their experience in the new area.
When everything is set up the way you want in Hotmart Club, it’s time to make it the primary members area for your product. To do this:
- In the left-hand menu, click Products, then My products.
- Click on the product you want to finalize the migration for.
- Go to Course management > Migrate to Club > Finish migration.
- Click Confirm migration.
Done! From that moment on, all new students will access the content through Hotmart Club.
