Why is my balance partially blocked?

Your balance on Hotmart can be partially or fully blocked for withdrawal for some reasons, such as the identification of suspicious transactions or by court order. This procedure is done to ensure the protection of your balance and your information. In this article, we will explain the most common scenarios, which can be:

❯ Block due to court order

If your account balance has been frozen due to a legal order, you'll need to address the situation directly with the court that issued the order. ❯ Block due to high chargeback rate

If your products have a high chargeback rate, Hotmart may choose to block sales and eventually block part of the balance to ensure that potential chargebacks are covered. Blocking usually lasts up to 90 days, the period expected for most chargebacks to occur.
