This guide will walk you through each step to prepare your course for success on the platform—helping you drive sales and take your business to the next level.
How to Register an Online Course
The first step to making your online course available on Hotmart is to register your product. In this step, you’ll define the basic details, such as the course name, payment frequency, payment methods, refund period, and the sales pages where your product will be available.
Here’s a step-by-step guide to help you register your online course:
❯ Creating an Online Course
The first steps to create your online course on Hotmart
are:
Log in to your Hotmart account athttps://app.hotmart.com.
If you don't have an account yet, create one
by following the steps in this article.
On the side menu, click on Products
and then My Products.
In the upper right corner, select + Add Product.
On the new screen, choose Online Course
as your product format.
❯ Adding Information to Your Course
After selecting the online event format, you will be
redirected to a new page. On it, fill in the fields in
the Information tab:
Course Name: Enter the name of your
online event.
Description: Create a detailed description
for event participants (minimum 200 characters).
Product Image: Add an image in JPG,
PNG, or GIF format (maximum 5 MB).
Additional Information: Select the
language, category, and market related to your event.
After filling in this information, click Next.
❯ Pricing Your Course
In the Pricing tab, define the
commercial details of your course:
Currency: Choose the currency in
which your event will be sold.
Guarantee: Define the guarantee
period for buyers to request a refund (7, 15, 21,
or 30 days).
Payment Method: Choose between one-time
payments, installment payments with fees, or installment
payments without fees for the customer. If you choose
installment payments, define the maximum number of
installments.
Hotmart One Project: Indicate if
you want to collaborate with the project, which donates
part of your sales to a charity in Brazil.
Currency Conversion: Choose whether
you want to enable currency conversion for international
sales.
When finished, click Next.
❯ Adding the Course to a Members Area
On the Members Area tab, you can choose where your course
will be available to students. Below, we detail each
of the alternatives:
Add the course to an existing Club:
If you want to add your online course to a Hotmart
Club you’ve already created, just select it.
Add the course to a new Club: If
you don't have a Hotmart Club or want to create a
new one, click on + Create Hotmart Club.
Enter the name and custom URL of your Club.
External members area: if you prefer
to host the course outside Hotmart, click on Use external members area
and enter the required information: link, login,
and valid password.
After selecting your preferred Members Area, click Next.
❯ Adding Content to the Course
After selecting where your product will be available
to students, you'll be taken to the Product Dashboard,
where you'll see a checklist. The next step in creating
your online course is to click on Content
and indicate whether or not you already have the content
for your course:
If you select No, I don't have content yet,
you will need to add a schedule that clearly describes
what will be covered in each lesson and when it will
be available.
If you already have content for your course, select Yes, I have the content,
and click on Add content. On
the new page, you’ll need to add the file of at least
one paid module, add information about the content
author, and then click Publish.
Once you have published at least one module, go back
to complete the rest of the steps.
Note: If you’re adding
video content hosted on other platforms (such
as YouTube and Vimeo), make sure the video
is accessible and not password-protected.
After completing the step, click Next.
❯ Setting Up Your Sales Pages
In the Product Dashboard, under the Sales Page
option, you can choose the types of pages on which your
course will be sold. Below, you can read about the different
options you can choose from:
Hotmart Marketplace: By default,
your product will be displayed on the Hotmart Marketplace.
Custom Sales Page: Customize your
product's sales page using the Hotmart Pages tool.

External Sales Page: If you already
have a sales page hosted on another provider, you
can link it to your product by entering the URL so
the Hotlink redirects to that page.
After selecting the option that best fits your business,
click Next.
❯ Product Submission and Review
To complete your product registration, please double-check
your Personal Information on the
dashboard. This step is essential when submitting your
product. If you have any questions about how to add your

Once completed, click on the Dashboard
tab and click Submit Product. By
submitting your product, you agree to Hotmart's Terms and Policies.
Your product will then undergo a review process, which
typically takes about 15 minutes but may extend to one
business day. Once approved, your product will be ready
for sale.
