Created to bring greater ease to content and class management, Hotmart Club, the free Members Area of Hotmart, is an amazing way for you to interact with your students and better understand how they are developing throughout each module of your course.
Paying attention to your students’ comments is a fantastic way for you to connect with them and get a grasp of how well your content is being received. This way, starting with the comments, you can come up with strategies to make your course even more attractive for your audience.
Responding to your students’ comments is also a means to improve your course-engagement indicators on Hotmart Club.
With the Hotmart Club Community tool, you can easily manage all of the comments left by your students and take specific actions accordingly. Want to see how? Follow the steps below.
If you’re accessing from Hotmart Club:
- Access your Hotmart account;
- Click on Hotmart Club and access your members area;
- In the left-side menu, click on Products;
- Find your product and click Edit;
- Access the Comments tab.
If you’re accessing from Couse Management:
- Access your Hotmart account;
- On the side menu, click on Products;
- Find your product and select it;
- Click on Access Course Management;
- In Hotmart Club, click on Comments on the left-side menu.
This screen displays all of the comments made about your course.
How to enable students to view the questions and answers from other groups:
In the Hotmart Members Area, you can allow all students to view comments that were left in a lesson, regardless of the group they're linked to. That is, students from group A can see the questions and answers from group B and vice versa.
To activate this feature, creators need to follow these steps:
- Log into the Platform and go to the course management area;
- Click on Comments;
- Next, click Settings;
- Enable the option to ‘View lesson comments’;
- Save and you’re done!
How to respond to student comments with one avatar :
In Hotmart's course management area, you can answer questions and comments from students as if you were a support agent. This way, you can interact with your students in a more standardized way, creating more trust, empathy and engagement.
To define a persona for comment replies, follow the steps below:
- Log into the Platform and go to the course management area;
- Click on Comments;
- Go to Settings;
- Enable the option "Create a persona to appear in all of your comment replies";
- Enter a name for the persona;
- Choose a photo;
- Save.
Filter comments by name or email:
You can find comments from a specific user on your list to respond to them directly. Just type the name or email in the search field.
View comment context:
You can also view the comment context. This way, it’s easier to understand where your student is coming from and respond in a more precise way. The context is made up of messages grouped by the same topic. In it, you can see the message which started the discussion, in addition to other responses by the same author and also the administrator and moderators of the community.
To open a comment context, follow these steps:
> Pick a comment
> Click the View context button
The messages are shown in context within the tab “All.” This also goes for when you open the option “View Context” and “View comment history.”
Manage comment status:
On the context screen, you are able to respond to a comment or pick a status for it.
To do this, follow these steps:
> Pick a comment
> Click on the desired option (Approve, Reject, ou Spam)
View the comment history of a user:
You can view all of the comments from the same user. To do this, just follow these steps:
> Pick a comment
> Click on View history below the user’s name
The screen will show the comment history grouped by context.
